Vanson Charged $10,000 for Drug Trafficking
In the court, Miguel Vanson, a first time offender, was imposed a mandatory non-custodial fine for drug trafficking of one hundred and sixty-two grams of cannabis which were found hidden inside his pants. The Mayflower resident was busted by GSU officers with the cannabis and when he appeared before Magistrate Deborah Rogers, he immediately pleaded guilty to drug trafficking. Vanson was fined ten thousand dollars which he was ordered to pay by June 2017, or in default, he is to serve three years imprisonment. But records show that Vanson owed the court thirty dollars for drinking in public, which he settled by noon today. Police officers were on mobile patrol on Police Street when they spotted Vanson standing in front of a house and acting suspicious. A search was conducted on him which led to the discovery of a plastic bag containing the suspected cannabis.
