F.F.B. Says FIFA and CONCACAF Have Green-lighted Electoral Process

Ruperto Vicente

Earlier in the week, we reported on a delegation from FIFA and CONCACAF that was in Belize recently to meet with embattled F.F.B. President Ruperto Vicente and General Secretary Michael Blease.  They also took the opportunity to meet with a trio of executives, as well as the F.F.B. Electoral and Appeals Committee and active football clubs within the Premier League of Belize.  While the outcome of the meeting held last Sunday with First Vice President Sergio Chuc and executives Marlon Kuylen and Cruz Gamez affirmed Vicente’s presidency, in a release issued late this evening the F.F.B. announces that the ongoing electoral process is in accordance with the electoral code and district statutes.  In that release, the F.F.B. also expresses its gratitude to all members of the football family, as well as stakeholders who continue to support the administration of President Vicente, the general secretary and the F.F.B. Secretariat.
