16-Year-Old Student Ran Over by Bus
Back to Punta Gorda where a sixteen-year-old student of Forest Home was injured in a traffic accident. Evalenda Pau is in a critical condition at the K.H.M.H. after she was reportedly run over by a bus at around nine o’clock this morning. The bus driver was reserving onto the highway when she was knocked down. Pau who was found on the side of the road with both legs crushed. With the assistance of Wings of Hope, the young girl was airlifted to Belize City for treatment. Her brother, Sebastian Bah, spoke to News Five.

“I was at work when I get a call from my wife saying that my sister got in an accident. So I rushed out there. I saw my sister’s legs critically damaged but I don’t know what exactly happen so I can’t say anything at this time. She was taken to the Punta Gorda Hospital then to the K.H.M.H. via plane.”

“Yes Sir. She left for tomorrow with Ramiro’s Bus Service.”

“Do you know if she was waiting for a bus out there by the junction?”

“No Sir. She came on that bus. She was heading home when she got hit.”
“So she would usually, normally use that person service?”
