Defense Ministry Congratulates JIOC for Narco Plane Operation
Following the arrests made in the narco plane landing in the Bladen area of Toledo on November 4th, and the confiscation of drugs and firearms, the Ministry of National Defence and Border Security has expressed its appreciation to the security forces for a job well done. According to a release from the Ministry, they are particularly proud of the operators at the Joint Intelligence Operations Center and members of the Belize Defence Force they say acted with professionalism and courage. The ministry says the JIOC which has members from the BDF, Belize Coast Guard, Belize Police Department, Customs Department and Immigration Department, coordinated the deployment of troops and passed on critical live information for the mission’s success.
