Minister of Home Affairs is Open to Bipartisan Effort to Crime Fighting

In responding to the criticism levied against him, Minister of Home Affairs Kareem Musa took the high road and admitted that he is prepared to work with anyone for the sake of reducing violent crimes across the country.

“Your involvement, however, comes at a time when the strongest criticism of your management of your ministerial portfolio has come from the United Democratic Party.  A statement was issued yesterday, essentially calling for your removal as Minister of Home Affairs.”

“Yeah, leaders today, like I said, cannot have their ego stand in the way of progress. If I was that type of person, I would say no, I noh wahn meet wid Shyne todeh. Dehn just seh dehn wahn I resign for the umpteenth time. I did that in opposition as well. I think that we have gotten to a point now where everybody has started to realize that it is this unified approach, this bipartisan approach that would possibly yield good results. And so, I am willing to work with anybody and I’ve said this in the National Assembly, anybody who is not there to undermine the progress of this particular approach, I am willing to work with, regardless of egos because I don’t have one. I don’t have that type of ego.”
