The deadliest month for COVID-19 related death ends with 89!

November was the deadliest month for COVID-19 related deaths in Belize.  There were eighty-nine COVID-19 deaths recorded up since November first through to the thirtieth. That’s an average of almost three deaths per day.  And those last stats for the last day of November were published on Monday night which shows that there are one hundred and eleven more persons positive with COVID-19. This brings the total of active COVID-19 cases to two thousand, five hundred and fifty-five. Those one hundred and eleven positive cases were identified from among three hundred and thirty- nine P.C.R. tests on Monday. The new cases are spread across the country with fifty-two of them in the Cayo District; twenty-one in Stann Creek; fifteen in Orange Walk; seven in Corozal; and two in Toledo. There is also one new death to report. The latest casualty is a female in her eighties from the Corozal district. This brings the total death toll to one hundred and forty-eight.
