Egbert Jones needs assistance following near death experience

Egbert Jones

During the dismantling of the Belize City Center in mid-September 2013, one of the inner walls of the structure collapsed and fell on Egbert Jones while he was working. The twenty-three-year-old was one of a hundred men, including at risk youths and gang members, who was offered a job at the site under the contract of Cisco Constructions. Jones was only three days in when the concrete wall gave way and he received severe injuries to various parts of his body. After several surgeries, he recovered. He was compensated by the company, but was rendered unable to work and has since been receiving Social Security benefits. It’s now been nine months since his near-death experience and Jones is turning to the public for assistance because he is still unable to work.

This is why people have no respect for the media, this is not news. This guy got $12,000.00 and is getting monies for SSB now he wants more? what did he do with the money? and don’t tell me he paid for hospital bills, KHMH is a Public hospital you could do a payment plan or not pay at all. I have done that………when Belizeans will learn to work with what you got and live within their means……….then they will turn to crime as an excuse………gees……
