Late evening robbery – Mark Anthony Pelayo is nabbed

There are details available of a late evening robbery on Thursday.  Three persons were robbed after five o’clock in the evening of their cell phones and keys by an armed man riding a bicycle. It happened in the outskirts of the City on the George Price Highway where police were on mobile patrol.  The cops immediately set chase behind the alleged robber and caught up with Mark Anthony Pelayo of Fairweather Street in some bushes on Faber’s Road Extension. The incident caused a stir in the neighbourhood and in a search of the area where Pelayo was detained the police found three touch screen cellular phones. At further search at the house of Pelayo’s father on Swanka Lane, police claim they found a single vehicle key and one homemade sawed off shot gun with one round of ammunition. It appears Pelayo was not working alone because police are looking for a second suspect.
