Singer to give Christmas dinner to homeless
This Christmas was certainly a season of giving. A number of organisations and businesses held toy and food drives to make the occasion an extra special celebration for those who ordinarily cannot afford the holiday treats. But it is not only groups of people who are helping to make someone’s Christmas memorable. One individual, well-known Belizean artist and former Ms. Y, Shirley Ferguson, will be spending her Christmas Day feeding the homeless.
Shirley Ferguson
?On Sunday the twenty-fifth we are planning to give food to the homeless and the people asleep on the streets. They can come by; we?ll be having turkey dinner for them.?
?I think I will be taking my keyboard out there and I?ll be doing something special out there too for the occasion. So I find it necessary because I think this is the day to be caring and sharing, so I want to share what I have with those people.?
(Ferguson singing ?Silver Bells?)
Shirley Ferguson
?The meaning of Christmas means the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and he came to give his life for us, so we must give to the people what we can give back in return for what he did for us.?
Ferguson’s Christmas meal for the homeless will be held at the Battlefield Park this Sunday.
