B.T.I.A. launches Destination Belize 2006 Magazine
This week copies of the 2006 “Destination Belize” magazine hit coffee tables and reception desks across the country. Published yearly by the Belize Tourism Industry Association, officials tell News Five that the mag has been overhauled with a simplified cover, updated articles, and new pictures. And according to Executive Director of the B.T.I.A., Andrew Godoy, what you see in the book is what you get in Belize.
Andrew Godoy, Executive Director, B.T.I.A.
?Certainly, the magazine itself through the whole process of preparing the magazine, there has to be some enhancement to images and all that, but at the end of the day the product itself is as natural as you would get it anywhere and so we pride ourselves in that whatever is reflected in the magazine is exactly what the visitor experiences and what they?ve identified to us.?
?The magazines are geared towards attractingovernight visitors more so than cruise visitors, and so we are expecting that with this new magazine that we can increase the overnight visitation to the country. This year we?ve increased to number of magazines published; we?ve actually taken up the amount to ninety thousand. Prior to this, it was at fifty thousand, so we?ve taken it up to ninety thousand and of that number, fifty percent of it will be distributed internationally at trade shows throughout the world, and the remaining amount will be distributed locally in hotels.?
“Destination Belize” is published by Ulrich Communications Corporation in Miami. Copies of the magazines are free of cost and can be obtained from B.T.I.A. offices.
