Dog owners in court after child is bitten
Meanwhile, two more people have been charged in connection with an attack against a child, but this time the offence was committed by a dog. Julian Reid reported to police that while in her neighbour’s yard around noon on Monday, she was shocked to hear the screams of her five year old son Corbin, who had been playing nearby. When she picked up her child, the front of his pants was full of blood. The boy then told his mother that he had been bitten in the crotch by a brown dog. Today, the owners of the dog, thirty-nine year old Steven Young of Faber’s Road and twenty-eight year old Lisa Matura of Arlington Drive appeared before Magistrate Dorothy Flowers where they were officially charged with grievous harm and permitting an un-muzzled ferocious dog to be at large. The couple pleaded not guilty and the case was adjourned until January sixth.
