Another Video Surfaces Showing Segura’s Immediate Response to Fatal RTA

On Saturday, there was a terrible road traffic accident near Succotz on the George Price Highway. Two vehicles were involved, one a small taxi and the other a Nissan SUV. In the taxi were fifty-four-year-old Yolanda Valencia and her cousin, Yanie Cu. Valencia died on the spot, and her cousin was badly injured. The other vehicle was being driven at the time by Deputy Commissioner of Police Miguel Segura. By Monday Segura, a highly decorated career cop, had been placed on interdiction. By Tuesday, after the results of a blood alcohol content test came in, he was arrested and charged with six separate traffic offences. But while the wheels of justice have broken speed records in Segura’s case, there are calls for more punishment. That’s largely due to a video which went viral after the accident. It showed Segura lighting a cigarette and buttoning his pants after the accident. It elicited a howl of dismay, disgust and outrage – this cop calmly taking a smoke while people were injured just feet away. Well News Five has obtained a copy of another video shot seconds after the accident, and it paints a somewhat different picture. We’ll show it to you in its entirety, and we warn you that some of the scenes are a little graphic, so you may want to exercise parental discretion.

As you can see in the video, Segura actually did go over to the taxi immediately after the accident. The short clip which has gone viral was shot after this video, and after the driver was assisted out of his vehicle. We have been unable to reach Segura for comment.

  1. Observer says:

He went over and did nothing. As a lawman he should controlling the scene and ensuring those around were safe. H was too drunk to perform his duty to the citizenery he is supposed to protec

  2. Uncle Benji says:

Uncle Benji has been pretty hard on Segura for pissing on the woman’s corpse instead of helping, but now there is this new video, that shows Segura in a different light.

The fat belly boy strides over in a jaguar like fashion circling the vehicle he slammed into. He is excited as he assesses the best angle at which the drunken bastard can piss on the dead.

It is a national disgrace to see men lacking basic human dignity being a high ranking police officer. It speaks of the entire nation as a whole. Where are we headed?

  3. Nephew says:

@Uncle Benji I heard the man only urinates on dead pederasts. This is the information I have. Discuss.

  4. Belizean says:

Apparently the police department do not know that carrying a firearm “even if licensed” with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit is an offense under the current firearm act.

  5. bzeanrebel says:

The Police are putting on a fine show of appearing to be impartial. However, they are confidently doing so because they have already crafted the end result. Segura will walk free of the blood alcohol level charge because the blood specimen was not taken immediately after the accident……it was taken after he went home to change off his clothes. He will claim that when he went home he took a drink to relax his nerves and that is why his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit at the time of sampling. It will be next to impossible to prove that he was drunk at the scene of the accident. Segura will get off on that technicality and the police will have shown and fooled some of the public that they are indeed transparent and impartial. Its a win-win situation for Segura and the Police dept. The officer who took him home should be criminally charged with evidence and crime scene tampering as should the firefighters who arrived to clean out his vehicle and wash down the road.

  6. Belizean Pride says:

I guess it’s not if he went over to see the victims of his reckless driving but the mere fact that he’s an officer that enforces these acts of driving under the influence, no about if he went to see over the smashed taxi car. This won’t or even should help him get away. the fact is that he was driving drunk and crashed killing a lady and having a father on the verge of dying or living on a wheel chair for the rest of his life. While he might never be able to replace the lady gone and the man with the ability to walk again.
