Security Guard Arraigned in A & R Robbery
And in the Magistrate’s Court… A security guard of the A and R Store on the Phillip Goldson Highway was arraigned for conspiracy to commit robbery before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith. Twenty-eight year old Leroy Ciego is the first to be charged for the robbery, but it is believed he assisted in the commission of the crime. No plea was taken from Ciego, but before leaving the court room, he asked the Chief Magistrate for permission to speak. An unrepresented Ciego told the court that he had nothing to do with it and did not want to go to jail for something he didn’t do. But because the robbery was committed with a firearm, bail could not be granted and Ciego was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until October ninth. Just after the close of business last Wednesday, armed masked men stormed on to the A and R Compound and terrorized workers and their children, who were still inside the establishment. Approximately thirteen thousand dollars in cash was stolen.
Uncle Benji told ya…….. inside job. These old bones have lived too long, and Benji has seen too much here in our beautiful Belize, to not smell an inside job, when it is an inside job.
This cheap ass crook is not the only one involved. Crime is outta control here in the jewel. So take this guy down to Queen St, twist his testicles tight with a good old wire clothes hanger, and make him squeal until he spits out the entire robbery plan.
Judos to the police! Now if the DPP office could be as efficient. Ten dollars bet, that Cheryl Lynn Vidal blows this case, and this guy walks free.
