Gang Leader Detained for Questioning in Lemonal Murder

Tonight, there is little to report in the cruel murder of a resident of Lemonal. The body of twenty-seven year old Denvo Banner was found buried in a shallow grave just behind the school in the community. He had been missing since August ninth, when he was seen celebrating a cricket championship win at the Lemonal Community Centre. He was found two weeks to the day later, his six foot four inch body crammed into a small, shallow grave, his face torn apart by bullets. Police have detained several persons in an attempt to solve the vicious crime, but we are informed that the investigation is hindered because people refuse to talk. We have been able to confirm that one person presently detained for questioning is a notorious gang leader…originally from Lemonal, but now controlling one of the zones in Belize City.

Why don’t the media realease his name and show the suspect face?

What is sad is that all over Belize you hear well known gang leader or notorius gang leader. If we know this and who they are then why not take those persons out of the society instead of reporting theyre well known. What the reason for them to be treated like celebrity when all they do is destroy family lives. SAD

That’s because Janet, the UDP administration encourages these thugs. They want to win elections so badly that the sister of the PM hangs out and does a lot of things with them. Whoever heard of a government paying criminals to stop crime? The way you handle that is that you arrest them, try and convict them and hang them expeditiously if such sentence is passed. Or, we need to formulate death squads like what Salvador, Nicaragua and Guatemala have or had. Notice the people who go to vote during elections now; poorer class and the criminals. These poorer, mostly uneducated class, fall for that free alcohol and food for the two or three weeks leading up to elections, as well as the few dollars they can hustle during that time for their votes. After elections, they are back to the same old decrepit lifestyle and forgotten by these politicians.
