Still No Motive in Los Tambos Murder…

Manuel Ramos

A post mortem examination was conducted this afternoon on the body of twenty-seven year old Guatemalan national, Manuel Ramos, who was killed over the weekend at his home in Los Tambos in the Cayo District. San Ignacio Police say that they are still unable to determine a motive behind this recent homicide in the village, but have been conducting interviews with villagers as well as the common-law-wife of Ramos, Albaluz Moralez, who was also injured in the shooting. A weapon was found nearby, which police believed was used to commit the crime and slugs retrieved from Ramos’ body along with the firearm have been forwarded to the National Forensic Service for analysis. Although, Deputy Officer Commanding San Ignacio Police was tightlipped about the specs on the firearm, News Five has been able to confirm that it was licensed to another resident of Los Tambos village.

“At this moment, I would not like to comment on that.”

Duane Moody

“Sir, has anyone been detained in connection with this murder?”

Via Phone: Insp. Reymundo Reyes

“Umm…not at this moment you know. Like how I said, the investigation is still young, we are looking into it at all different angles as to what is the actual motive for Mister Ramos’ life to be taken. Presently we are interviewing the common-law-wife and trying to get as much information as we can get from her.”

Duane Moody

“Sir was the firearm licensed?”

Via Phone: Insp. Reymundo Reyes

“I will not comment on that Mister Moody.”
