Much Needed Assistance for Phillips Family

Six days ago, a house on McKenzie Lane in south side Belize City collapsed with a mother and her ten year old daughter inside. It is an unfortunate incident, but luckily for Dawn Phillips and her daughter, they were not injured in the early morning ordeal. It was the second time in three years that the wooden two bed room structure collapsed and following the inclement weather last week, the house went tumbling down into a pool of water. Everything was lost and the family pleaded for assistance to rebuild their lives. Today, News Five caught up with Phillips, who says that the Belize Red Cross and Mercy Kitchen have since come forward to provide assistance to the family. Phillips also informed us that on Tuesday the area representative committed to rebuild her house.
