The results of the Poll will be useless because of the way the question is posed: “Do you believe that Guatemalans constructing at Hunting Caye pose* no security threat to Belize?” Most of your pollees are dyslexic and will not be able to process a question posed in the negative.

The question, if it is to be useful, has to be posed in the neutral: “Do you believe…..poses a security threat?”

ARE you following me on this?? SOLUTION: Give the author of the poll question a good spanking along with the relevant disabuse.

*should be poses, not pose 🙂

Enjoy your day and keep in touch!

Yup. I agree. The way some Belizean writers/reporters use the English written and spoken language is in-congruent – for the lack of a better word – with main stream English. Most writers today do not use double negatives. It’s confusing to our dyslexic creole speakers. My advice is make is KISS. Keep it simple stupid. I hope the last “s” do not pose no negative vibes to a positive input.
