That’s an option available in any and all capitalistic democracies to consult with vendors for the most efficient price. By the same line of reasoning, the cane farmers must advocate to boycott ASR, negotiate to sell their sugarcane to the highest buyer(S), and develop their own sugar factory to obviate the repetition of this debacle.
Absolutely…as per Mr Malthus’ reasoning. I agree with it, however, who will they sell the cane to if not ASR? You say develop their own factory…my goodness, I think the farmers would then be eating some of their own soup. They have no idea what kind of investment that would be. And if they already complain about how hard everything is…They will never do such a thing. Remember, Mr Ortega in his own words said, he doesnt care about how much ASR has invested in the processing of the bagasse. That in itself shows the very near sightedness of him, and or the farmers he represents. He doesnt care!!! Farmers dont care about investments??? Do you see the irony of this?
Hell no!
They are trying to take advantage of the farmers. They are the ones that work from sun up to sun down to raise their crop so why if there is another industry that comes on stream only the rich cats should benefit.
Stand united it will be better in the end for you! if you allow yourself to be divided you will be their slaves for the rest of your life and for generations to come!
The association will negotiate a better deal on behalf of the farmers. What the corporation is doing is nothing more than union busting. The oldest trick in the book: DIVIDE AND CONQUER.
