George Street Figure Shot in Rival Territory

Carlos ‘Zimbab’ Abraham

A well-known George Street boss, Carlos ‘Zimbab’ Abraham, is listed in stable condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after he was shot down this morning in rival territory. Police have declined to speak officially on the incident, but News Five understands that a little before ten this morning, Abraham was at the corner of Banal and Lakeview Streets, which is a stone’s throw away from Mayflower Street, the heart of Ghost Town. Abraham was at a tire shop when he was approached by a lone gunman, who allegedly fired five shots at him. Two of the bullets found their mark, one in Abraham’s neck and the other in his arm. He was rushed to the K.H.M.H. by a family member who was reportedly with him. ‘Zimbab’ is considered a ranking member of the George Street gang, and the brazen daylight shooting has put police on high alert. As we said, they have declined to grant an official interview, but we have been able to confirm that one man is currently detained for the shooting. Forty-six year old Carlos Abraham was last in the media spotlight in 2011, when he alleged that along with Gerald ‘Shiny’ Tillett and other George Street figures, he was brutalized by the Gang Suppression Unit after a funeral for murdered gangster, Charles Woodye.  Also that year, Abraham’s nine-year-old son was shot and killed during an incident on Independence Day.  Joshua Abraham had been watching the Twenty-first Parade on Victoria Street when an unknown assailant opened fire at a rival.  Sadly, the bullet missed its intended target and fatally injured Zimbab’s son. So tonight, although one person has been detained, there’s fear of reprisal on the streets between the rival gangs.
