Rowdy passenger stabs bus rider

Trouble on the road this week was not confined to pedestrians. On Wednesday morning it was anything but a routine commute as a busload of passengers heading towards Ladyville watched horrified as a passenger was stabbed. Reports are that around eight that morning twenty-one year old Earl Archer and nineteen year old Justo Augustine were riding in the bus when Augustine began making a good deal of noise. Archer allegedly told him to quiet down, but Augustine didn’t appreciate the advice and pulled a knife, attempting to stab Archer. Augustine was disarmed and attempts were made to throw him off the bus, but he somehow got hold of another knife and succeeded in stabbing Archer in the neck. Today Belize City police arrested Augustine and charged him with attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm. Archer is in a stable condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
