Roger Anthony and Kendis Flowers Out on Bail
Two Ghost Town men, including alleged leader Roger Anthony, are tonight out on bail for the attempted murder of Shelly Meighan, the mother of Ellis and Tyron Meighan. Anthony and his alleged partner in crime, Kendis Flowers, appeared before Justice Denis Hanomansingh this morning and were granted bail in the sum of five thousand dollars each. Both men were on remand for over a month, but it was through Attorney Kareem Musa that both were able to secure bail for a list of charges. Anthony and Flowers are to report to the police station every Friday until their case is dispose of; both are to reappear before the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on December eighteenth. Justice Hanomansingh also warned the men not to interfere with any of the prosecution’s witnesses and were also ordered to surrender all travel documents. The shooting allegedly occurred on October twenty-sixth at Shelly Meighan’s house on Banak Street. She reported that while at home, she saw Anthony standing in her yard and following an exchange of words, she claims he opened fire in her direction. The spray of bullets caused damages to the house. Flowers and Anthony were picked up shortly after and jointly charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault and Damage to Property. Anthony was additionally charged with one count of Kept Firearm and Ammunitions Without a Gun License.
