Are Failed Business Ventures an Indication of Harrison’s Managerial Skills?
Harrison is a businessman who has had his share of successes and failures. But politics isn’t generally a forgiving arena, and his critics have already started attacking his failures as a businessman. That question was put to Harrison and the P.U.P. leader today. Both were likely prepared for it, since it will come up in the five weeks leading to what will be an intense, heated and nasty campaign.
Francis Fonseca, P.U.P. Leader
“Richard has a tremendous track record; he is a thinker, he is an innovator, he is an entrepreneur and he invests in this country. And I have great respect for people who are prepared to put their own money, their blood, their sweat, their tears into the land and invest in Belize and he is one of those persons. So I have great respect for him. And yes, in business you always take risks. There is always an opportunity for you to succeed; there is an opportunity for you to fail…that’s always the case. But he has been a very successful businessman in my view and in the view of many people who know him. And if the truth is, lots of businesses, if you listen to the people from the Chamber of Commerce, hundreds and hundreds of businesses have failed under this U.D.P. government.”
Richard Harrison, Selected as Candidate for Cayo North
“Don’t ask if I have failed…please also ask why did I fail. And I am going to get to the bottom of that. One of the reasons why I am here is because what happened to me with my investments should not happen to any other hard working Belize woman and man. And that’s what I am here to do.”

i’m a pup but not anymore
that man is a big scam…………….
Business success in Belize does not signify you are smart. It means you are in bed with the right politician when the plum jobs, plum contracts are being awarded and all the laws will be bent to accommodate you and ensure you get the business.
Harrison you are a failure and disappointment. Too much brown baba.
