Last two prison escapees captured
Authorities said it would only be a matter of time and they were right. Stranded in a mangrove swamp without food, water, or a safe route home, the last two of a quartet of escaped convicts have been captured. Robert Gillett was collared Tuesday evening near mile six and a half on the Western Highway, while Cameron Blease emerged from the bush in the same area around eight-thirty this morning. They will be charged with escape as well as assault against prison guard Maxwell Torres, who remains in serious but stable condition at the K.H.M.H.
