Two more standard bearers chosen by U.D.P.
Two more standard bearers have been chosen by the United Democratic Party in weekend conventions. In Belize City’s Albert Division a sparsely attended gathering saw Thomas Morrison squeak by Joseph Bradley, two hundred and twenty-seven votes to two hundred and two. In Toledo, nearly two thousand voters showed up to give Juan Coy the nod over a crowded field. Coy amassed six hundred and forty-four votes, while Dennis Usher received four hundred and thirty-five, Fermin Chuc four hundred and thirteen, William Romero two hundred and fifty-eight, and Pedro Chee one hundred and eighty-four. Both Albert and Toledo West are currently held by the People’s United Party.
