No one charged yet for missing CitCo monies
It’s one week since Prime Minister Dean Barrow dropped a bombshell that police would be making arrests over missing monies at City Hall. Well there still have been no arrests. This week the Financial Regulator appointed to City Hall by Barrow, Patrick Tillett, told News Five that after having gone through the first batch of documents he was of the view that there was some discrepancy with the funds at City Hall. But Mayor Zenaida Moya confidently told the media that it was just a mix up because of the unusual accounting practice of under-depositing. And while various names have been called since the Prime Minister made the announcement, there are still no charges as in the other cases of the Treasury and the Belize Management Agency where monies have also gone missing.
