Still No Charges in Daly Murder

Emerson Daly Jr.

Belmopan Police are still actively investigating the murder of twenty-four year old Emerson Daly Junior.  Tonight, one of the men, who were detained and being questioned, remains in custody. Police say they haven’t ruled out any motive and are still closely looking from all angles. Daly Junior, a small business owner, failed to return home on Sunday and was reported missing on Tuesday. That same day, the Nissan Pathfinder that he was driving was discovered on Mount Pleasant Road, several miles outside of Belmopan. Inside the vehicle were what appeared to be blood stains and Daly’s slippers. The following day, on Wednesday, a search party discovered Daly’s already decomposing body in the Belize River to the back of the Banana Bank Area. Daly had been shot in the head with what appeared to be a shot gun.  But tonight, there is still no one has been charged.
