GSU Finds Drugs and Ammo
The Gang Suppression Unit is also reporting on seizures of ammunition and drugs over the past few days. On Saturday, during a search on Victoria Street, the Unit found a total of forty-seven live rounds of ammo at an abandoned lot. Also on Saturday on Castle Street, the GSU found a plastic bag containing one hundred and three grams of cannabis. Previous that those finds, on Friday, the GSU was carrying out operations in the Conch Shell Bay area where they found a black plastic bag containing three hundred grams of cannabis in the trunk of an abandoned BMW car. And on Louise Bevans Street, a search yielded a total of five hundred and twenty-eight grams of cannabis. On Thursday, in a mid afternoon search, in an open lot in the Conch Shell Bay Area, the unit found seventeen rounds of point two-two-three caliber live ammunition and a ballistic helmet similar to those used by the military. Notably no arrests were made.
