Dangriga Police Make Cocaine Bust

The following did not appear on the police report, but on Tuesday, January twenty-second, Police visited an area between miles seventeen and eighteen on the Humming Bird where they intercepted a Green Corolla Taxi heading in the direction to Belmopan. Police then conducted a search on four men who were inside the car, however nothing incriminating was found. A subsequent search of the car led to the discovery of two parcels wrapped in black plastic bags. The parcels, which were then opened in front of the car’s occupants, revealed a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine. The men were later taken to the Dangriga Police Station where the parcels weighed to a total of six pounds. Martin Mas, Pedro Sho, Tom Martinez and Bernard Che have all been detained pending charges.
