Marvin Mora, President, N.T.U.C.B.
“The top priority is building back the strength of the N.T.U.C.B. We believe that it is time for the N.T.U.C.B. to bring to the table all of those participants and find creative ways to make them active again. In our view, that is the top priority and we are also looking at other issues again. But, for the most part, that is one of the major challenges that we have and we intend to tackle that head on.”

“Now, you guys had the meeting over the weekend. What are some of the concerns or issues that came out of that AGM?”
Marvin Mora
“Well, we had our AGM and the format of it is where you have the business section and the resolutions. Within the resolutions, there were several issues that spoke to the urgency of what has to be addressed by the N.T.U.C.B. For example, we have that issue right now with the Belize Sugar Industry and the workers in there that we have to protect, as well, and other issues that relate to governance and so forth. The resolutions, in essence, are our tasks. They were laid out by the delegates of the ten unions that form part of the N.T.U.C.B. and they become the platform on which we build strategies and plans to ensure that these get down.”
