Supt. Howell Gillett, O.C., Belmopan Police Formation
“We promptly responded. Upon arrival, we discovered a male person, a security guard at the Anchor Security. He had cut wounds to the upper parts of the body. The person was later identified to be Feliciano Richard Noralez, a sixty year old male of Belmopan City also. An investigation was immediately launched…so far we have one person in custody. This is a person of interest. The investigation is very young, but we will continue to probe into this latest murder and see how we can have it solved.”
Noralez’s common-law wife, Sherida Arana, was waiting patiently for his return home today, but around eight this morning, she was informed of Noralez’s demise. But who would want the elderly man dead?

“First they talk to my ma because I mi di breastfeed my daughter. And when they asked for his common-law, they told me what actually went on and that they found him dead. But it is really hard. That man noh do nobody nothing. All ih do dah go dah work dah evening and come dah morning. Ih sleep whole day and then ih go back dah work dah evening. From the time I got my baby, ih deh deh fi me. If the person whoever do it mi come to me and say Sher this dah weh I want do…I mi wah ask dehn why?”
Supt. Howell Gillett
“There are two motives that we are working on. At this time, we are now narrowing down to one, but there are two. But if I would disclose the direct motives, it would endanger some people’s lives. But there are two we are working on, but I’m sure we will narrow it down to one and we will have some form of closure to this case very soon.”
A former employee of the security firm has been detained in connection with this latest homicide. Duane Moody for News Five.
So sad, a man cannot even go to work an honest job and go home to his family safely. A woman left to care for a young child, another fatherless child. What cul be so bad to chop someone to death, God help Belize.
