Faber Says Collet Secure
While Nomination Day is theoretically an official event, in reality it’s just a big show…and in Belize City that show in the south-side is run by the U.D.P. which controls all the seats. Collet is one of those south-side seats which is being challenged with intensity by the P.U.P.’s Yasmin Shoman who has hit the ground running in her bid to unseat Patrick Faber. On Wednesday we asked Faber if he’s feeling the heat from Shoman, and he told us that he hasn’t even seen any smoke, much less fire.
Patrick Faber, Area Representative, Collet
“I have been pounding the pavement now and in fact the response from the people of Collet has been tremendous, as is expected. I don’t know what numbers you saw…maybe you saw the drummers and she paid drummers to go. What you saw this afternoon is we had a box, and we had a truck, and that’s all the monies that we have spent and our people voluntarily came out this afternoon because as my colleague has said they support the United Democratic Party. I don’t know where you would ever think that I would lose sleep over Yasmin Shoman. Yasmin Shoman is a non-entity in the Collet constituency. You will get that message very loud and clear on March the fourth. That will be the start of it, and you will see that whenever the Prime Minister calls the elections. We have no fear of any Yasmin Shoman or any other candidate for the People’s United Party because Collet division as you have noticed over the years is now red, red, red. There’s no turning back.”
You already bride the poor people who don’t know any better.
@Faber:: You already bribe the the poor people with petty cash. Sad,but true.
