Police claim break in Dangriga bank heist
Police have announced a break in last month’s robbery of the Scotiabank branch in Dangriga. According to a press release late this evening, twenty-six year old Andy Pryor of Steadfast Village and forty-seven year old John Faux of Placencia have been charged, not in connection with the July twelfth heist which netted over one hundred thousand dollars, but with an aborted attempt to rob the same bank on March eleventh. The men were today arraigned in Dangriga Magistrate’s Court for abetment to robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. They were offered bail of ten thousand dollars each plus two sureties of five thousand dollars and ordered to reappear on September fifteenth. The police release expressed confidence that today’s charges will be followed by prosecutions for the July eleventh bank job.
