City burglar gets 5 years in jail
The goods he stole was worth six hundred and thirty-five dollars, but twenty-two year old Christian Eck may very well spend the next five years in jail wondering if his actions were worth all that time. Eck appeared before Magistrate Earl Jones this morning, to answer charges that he burglarized a home on Cemetery Road on May first. Around four that morning, police received a tip that a robbery was in progress at the residence of Jermaine Arnold. Hearing noises, they discovered Eck in the house. But in an attempt to evade capture, he jumped out the building and into a nearby yard and got away. But not for long… when the police searched the area they found Eck pretending to be asleep in a parked car. However, the farce ended when police found all the stolen items in the car. These included: a wooden door, a panel door, and an aluminium window with glass louvers.
