Mexican Murdered in Corozal
A Mexican national was hacked to death in the Corozal District over the weekend. On Sunday night in San Victor Village, the mutilated body of Sergio Martinez was discovered inside a pimento bungalow with multiple chop wounds to the face and head. Punctures were also visible on Martinez’s neck and chest. Initial investigations revealed that at around one p.m. residents of the village visited the house where the happened upon Martinez’s corpse. He was last seen alive on Saturday night at a shop in the village. Police have since detained one man for questioning.
