Car show is on for Sunday
Hurricane Emily may have been all bluster and no breeze for Belize, but she did succeed in keeping some fancy wheels off the highway that would have been rolling towards Old Belize and the Rotary Club’s New and Antique Car show on July seventeenth. Well, the fundraiser for the Gift of Life programme has been rescheduled for this Sunday, July thirty-first. Among the twenty or so classic cars which will be on display are a 1942 Willys, 1952 Ford Pickup, 1956 Cadillac, and a 1969 Chevy Malibu. New cars include a Corvette, Jaguar and Mini Cooper. Sponsors include auto dealers Bravo Motors, Belize Estate and Belize Diesel, which will have their new trucks and S.U.V.’s there too. An added attraction are the daredevil motorcyclists from Spanish Lookout and Blue Creek. The show runs from ten in the morning until five in the evening. Admission is two dollars for adults and children enter free.
