Former PM Said Musa Says Allegations are Old News

Said Musa

With that acerbic statement, it was on to the reading of the Budget, and there is where it would have ended today. But the man to whom many of the allegations in the leaked recording are pointing decided to have his say. Former Prime Minister Said Musa is a veteran debater in the House, but faced incessant heckling from the crowd today. According to the embattled politician, the allegations against him are false, and have been proven false in court. So what remains is only a politically guided missile shot by a frustrated and malicious Prime Minister.

Said Musa, Fort George Area Representative

“The Prime Minister’s hypocritical ranting in the House today, it is clearly an attempt to take advantage of the frustrated ranting of a politician that he, as Prime Minister, was trying to predict would be sitting over here as leader of the P.U.P.  The second reason why I suspect the prime minister went on totally unbecoming of a Prime Minister, to make an issue of this at this stage, when in fact this is old hack stuff going back almost ten years. Because he is trying to divert attention from the ongoing and pervasive corruption that is taking place in his administration today.”

Prime Minister Dean Barrow

“I wasn’t wasting too much time on the previous Prime Minister because indeed I believe it is long since accepted by all right thinking Belizeans that he is beyond the pale. He is beyond the pale…I mean this only in the sort of metaphorical sense. I’ve just said Mister Speaker to the extent that he might be ill. There is a difference between ill and sick. We know ih sick ina ih head, but to the extent that he might be ill, nobody will treat that lightly, nobody will take that as any laughing matter. So what I will tell you now Mister Speaker is merely sort of metaphorical. In terms of politics and this refusal of his to go. Bwai there is a term use on the streets of the south side of Belize City—from where I hail…I dah canal side bwai yo know—the man dead, but ih refuse to close ih eye. Politically this man dead, but ih refuse fi close ih eye. I don’t know why yo neva sit down and kept yo mouth shut. When I spoke, me never call yo name except fi talk about the Musa/Fonseca administration. I neva levy any accusation at you. I talked about what the member for Orange Walk Central had said on the tape. But because yo get up now and as I said, yo got the facey-ness to intervene. Let me say what is on that tape weh di news media can’t play because of fair of libel. On that tape, you are accused of personally having stole tens of millions and it is said that you should be in jail and if it were any other country, you should be in jail. Dah noh me say so. Dah the man sitting beside you, the confessor on the tape. Dah noh me say so.”

I guess this %&*) intends to deny it to the end. He is the biggest reason the people no longer support this party. He needs to go away. Everybody knows you are liad Said! You are not fooling anyone, maybe yourself. The audacity you still trying to argue the facts. You could know a guilty person, they always use the phrase, ‘you have no proof’. Guilty as charge!
Not to promote violence, as that’s the last thing Belize needs right now, but don’t you think in any other Central American country Barrow and Musa would not only be thrown in prison, but more than likely been Assassinated a long time ago?

Ok it’s true and we all believe that the last crowd rape the people, now tell us about your administration.

You are not squeaky clean either Mr PM. Someone will hand you a load of whip ass soon.

The people of Belize have only to choose between bad a worse. I hope one day the choice will be between good and bad; a much easier choice.
