Mystery assailants sought in shooting and stabbing
Thirty-nine year old Gregory Harris claims he does not know who shot him or why, leaving police without much to go on in their investigation. Harris told police that around ten on Thursday night he was near St. John Vianney Primary School on Faber’s Road when he heard a single gunshot. Harris says he then felt a burning on his left hand and realised that he had been shot to the wrist. Police have no suspects.
And in yet another case where the victim claims not to know the motive or the assailant, police are searching for a woman who stabbed seventeen-year-old Shelly Castillo on Thursday night. Today Castillo lies in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital recovering from stab wounds to her back and left arm. She told police she was walking on Curl Thompson Street in Belize City around seven-thirty when a woman she did not know approached her and stabbed her with a knife.
