O.W. Salesman Shot
There was also an attempt made of the life of a forty-one year old salesman of Orange Walk Town on Saturday night. Around eleven o’clock, Rosendo Santana was at his Progress Street house when someone called his name outside. As he opened the front door to see who it was, a man dressed in dark clothing with a hood over his head entered the yard and fired two shots in his direction. Santana was hit once to the left shoulder and was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital where he was treated and released. While police recovered two – nine millimeter expended shells from the scene, there are no leads in this investigation.

“What happened there? What’s the motive behind that shooting?”
Supt. Dennis Arnold
“So far we have no motive either and he cannot identify the person because he said the person was hooded.”
Duane Moody
“Did he speak to anything as to why someone would want him dead?”
Supt. Dennis Arnold
“We interviewed him and he said he had no knowledge of it. He said he doesn’t know why someone would want him dead.”

“Do you guys have anyone in custody or any leads in this shooting?”
