U.D.P. Announces New Albert Candidate
It’s official. Albert constituency Area Representative Herman Longsworth is out. The wanna-be Area Rep., Phillip Willoughby, is also out. And Tourism C.E.O. and first-time, full-time politician Tracy Taegar-Panton is in. The announcement came today at U.D.P. headquarters, complete with all the bells and whistles to welcome the woman, Prime Minister Dean Barrow says will deliver the Alberts. It’s what he calls the fine-tuning of the U.D.P. to ensure battle-readiness for what the he says will no doubt be a hard-fought campaign despite the shambles of the Opposition.
Dean Barrow, U.D.P. Leader
“She is, of course, supremely qualified academically and professionally and she does have a record of service that is next to none. She currently, as you all know is the Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Tourism and her Minister, the Hon. Heredia is here to support her. Before that she was for many years the director of the Belize Tourism Board where she helped with the transformation of the tourism industry in this country and where she helped really to put Belize so firmly on the global tourism map. Politically while she has never run for office before, she was a huge part of the Mark Espat campaign during the era when Mark and the People’s United Party dominated politics in Albert. This then helps with an exclamation point to put a final end to that era to underscore that the transition which has already taken place will not ever be reversed.”
Tracy Taegar-Panton, U.D.P. Albert Constituency Candidate
“As the U.D.P. candidate for Albert, I bring to the table my professional and personal integrity, my passion and absolute love for people, proven work ethic, vast experience and a profound belief in Belize’s potential. Today I commit myself to all voters, and let me reiterate…all voters of the Albert division. I pledge to listen, to listen to your concerns and to work hand in hand with you to meet the challenges and to embrace the opportunities of a division that continues to be transformed by this great United Democratic Party. I wish to thank most sincerely our Prime Minister and Party Leader, the Hon. Dean Barrow, for his vote of confidence and support.”
Anyone who votes for udp this time I hope you or one of your family members are not the next one to be murdered think about iy
Apparently, PM Dean Barrow is making all the right moves as he prepare for victory for a third term. As a Belizean I never fully supported the UDP, however under the leadership of PM Dean Barrow I think we must all agree the country is better off today than yesteryear. PM Dean Barrow apparently can still be the best PM this country has ever had.
The late Rt. Hon George Price led us to independence, However PM Dean Barrow is apparently leading us forward to greater heights. We cannot continue to blame The PM for the senseless murders in our country. This is totally ridiculous. Its about time we give up our senseless biases and take a good look at the reality of The Leadership of the PM, Hon. Dean Barrow. Time to wake up Belizeans.
I guess she is not ready yet. I feel she needs to grow up in the red party a little so that the people
get to know from her constituency she wants to run for.
