Guatemalan woman charged in Cayo killing
Police in San Ignacio have arrested a suspect in a fatal bar stabbing. Twenty-year-old Guatemalan Yanira Escobar, a resident of San Ignacio, has been charged with murder in the killing of twenty-three year old Jessica Saldero. Saldero was stabbed to death at a San Ignacio club on Sunday night. The women were allegedly involved in a fight when Escobar pulled out a knife and thrust it into the middle of Saldero’s chest.
