Busted Sneaking weed Into Belize Central Prison

But a twenty-one year old domestic of Santa Elena, Cayo District secured a five hundred dollar bail after she was allegedly caught by prison officials in possession of seventeen grams of weed. The weed stashed inside a five gallon water bottle, which she was carrying with her for a prison inmate. Twenty-one year old Danna Danelle Usher was arraigned before the Chief Magistrate for Possession of a Controlled Drugs with Intent to Supply to Another Person for the purpose of Drug Trafficking. Usher pleaded not guilty to the charge.  The Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith asked her what will be her defense at trial since she is pleading not guilty. Usher said that she was asked to take two water bottles to prison and she did not know that the weed was hidden on one.  There were conditions set for bail and she is to reappear in court on July twenty-ninth, 2015. The incident happened on Tuesday when she was searched at the prison.
