Five Persons Charged for Drug Trafficking
This afternoon, three men and a sixteen year old minor were arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court for Drug Trafficking after a bag containing one hundred and forty two grams of weed was found in a car they were travelling in. They have been identified as Calford Perez Junior of Rio Bravo Crescent, Oliver Solis of Prince Street, Richard Pelayo Junior, of Faber’s Road and the minor, all residents of Belize City. The group of four appeared before Magistrate Ladonna John and only Solis Junior was represented by attorney. The four were charged for Possession of a Controlled Drug with intent to Supply to Another Person for Drug Trafficking. They all pleaded not guilty and granted bail in the sum of five thousand dollars. The minor was read the charge in the presence of his mother. This evening Solis, Perez, Pelayo and the minor were able to meet their bail.
