Hattieville Man Charged for Unlawful Sex with Minor

Enrique Pook Junior, who resides in Hattieville, is accused of having sex twice in 2014 with a thirteen year old minor.  In October 2014, a month or so after the first allegation surfaced, he was arraigned for  Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with the girl whose age was thirteen years. At the time he appeared before the Chief Magistrate and was remanded to the Belize Central Prison. This week, he was arraigned again for the offense for Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with the same minor. The latest allegation is said to have occurred in Ladyville in August 2014 within weeks of the first allegation and when the girl was still thirteen years old.    No reasons were given why the latest report was just made and while no plea taken, Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser released Pook Junior on his old Supreme Court bail since the matter stemmed from the same incident.  He is due back in Court on July first, 2015.  A preliminary inquiry is to be held to determine if there is any evidence to send the matter to the Supreme Court for trial.
