Minor Detained for Shooting at Vehicle on Amara Avenue
A sixteen-year-old minor remains in police custody tonight after firing a nine millimeter handgun at a vehicle on Saturday. The shooting took place near the corners of King Street and Amara Avenue. While no one was injured during the incident, the windshield of the vehicle was damaged. Quick response led to the apprehension of the youth who was found with the weapon in his possession.

“On Saturday, May twenty-third at eleven o’clock in the morning, and this incident occurred just at the corner of King Street and Amara Avenue where police responded to a shooting incident in that vicinity. And when they arrived there they saw the windshield of a vehicle with a bullet hole in it. They also found several expended shells on the street and they have apprehended one minor, a sixteen-year-old minor and they are looking for several others regarding this incident. They also recovered a nine millimeter firearm from the minor, as the investigation continues.”
