Customs Officer Involved in RTA in Corozal
On Friday night around nine, sixteen year old Azir Zalazar was knocked down off his bike on College Road in Corozal. Zalar, who was complaining of pain in his hands and legs, was taken by to the hospital by forty three year old customs officer Kenroy Samuels. Upon police investigation, it was learnt that Samuels was driving a car that had hit Zalazar. According to police, they smelled alcohol on Samuels’ breath and his speech was slurred. Suspecting Samuels of driving under the influence of alcohol, he was informed that he was committing an offence and then he was detained. In the presence of a doctor, Samuels was informed that a blood and urine samples were needed, however, he refused. He was later taken to the Corozal Police Station and served with a notice of intended prosecution pending charge of “failure to provide specimen.” Zalazar’s injuries are yet to be certified.

Hum it appears this Custom’s guy is being processed very different than the Deputy COMPOL? He is still out driving around after under the influence and killing people? I bet the Custom Guy is now wishing he had joined the Police Dept.???
