Another Shooting in the City
Twenty-four hours after the murder of Williams, shots rang out once again in the city. Just after nine p.m., twenty-seven-year-old Jason Sutherland was shot to the left foot as he stood on Central American Boulevard. According to Sutherland, he heard several shots and later realized that he had been shot. He was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he is currently in a stable condition. Senior Superintendent Alden Dawson says the police continue to investigate despite the lack of cooperation by Sutherland.
Sr. Supt. Alden Dawson, O.C., Precinct 2, Eastern Division
“Information received is that one Jason Sutherland, twenty-seven year old Belizean construction worker, was standing on Central American Boulevard when he heard several shots being fired and realized later that he got shot, injury to his left foot. So far there is no motive for that and we have nobody in custody at this time.”

“Sir, Jason…can you tell us anything about him? Is he known to police?”
Sr. Supt. Alden Dawson
“I’m not familiar with Jason at this time; however, he is not cooperating so there is not much that we can do at this time. But we are still investigating, anyway.”
