Airline employee clings to life
In an update to the shooting of a Tropic Air employee on Tuesday, Loren Dale Augustus has been transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital from Universal Health Services and no improvement in his condition is being reported. Augustus was shot in the head as he rode home from work Tuesday evening and despite surgical efforts, he remains unconscious with the bullet lodged in his brain. On Wednesday, police picked up a man for questioning, but he has since been released without any charges filed. Police say their investigation continues.
