BET Arraigned for Lord’s Bank Shooting
A Lord Bank, Ladyville, man was shot multiple times on the night of June sixteenth, 2015. But Jorge Carlos Lozano rolled over and pretended he was dead and when the gunmen left, he was rushed to the K.H.M.H. Today he identified one of his alleged shooters as street figure Brandon Tillett aka “B.E.T.,” who was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court late on Tuesday evening for Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm and Use of deadly Means of Harm upon Lozano. Thirty-eight year old Lozano claims that last week Tuesday, he was at home with his girlfriend, when he heard a knock on his door and he opened it. He saw Tillett and another man armed with what appeared to be nine millimetre pistols. He said he attempted to close the door, but the men forced their way in. Lozano says he managed to escape by running through another door but was shot and fell in a nearby drain. That is when he claims Tillett came over him and opened fire. But Tillett’s gun reportedly ran out of bullets and that’s when he said he heard him tell the other accomplice to finish him. The gunman then got over Lozano and fired a shot hitting him on the neck and then on the hand and feet. This is when, Lozano claims, he played dead and the two gunmen ran off and he lived to recount his ordeal. The second gunman is still at large.
