Police Investigate Separate Allegations of Sexual Abuse

There are two heinous reports of a sexual nature to report tonight. In Silk Grass in the southern Belize, a young boy was sexually abused by someone he knew well, his brother-in law. The minor says that the crime occurred while he and his mother were visiting a relative in the village on Sunday. His mother is forty years old and the child is thirteen.  The child alleges that his sister’s husband had sexual intercourse with him when they were in Silk Grass. The brother-in law has been detained pending charges of “Unnatural Crime.” In Corozal Town, the alleged victim is much younger. A ten year old girl is claiming that three weeks ago, a man she is well-acquainted with, touched her inappropriately. The student further claims that it is not the first time she had been abused by the same person. It all came to light when the mother caught him in the act. Corozal Police are looking for the accused.
