P.U.P. Call for Resignation of Edmond Castro
Earlier today, the People’s United Party issued a statement on the withdrawal of a lawsuit in the Supreme Court by Minister of State, Edmond Castro against Alverine Burgess and Great Belize Productions. The surprise move by Castro came on Friday when oral closing arguments were to be heard before the presiding judge, Courtney Abel. Throughout the case, Castro made a number of admissions including that he used his office to facilitate visas to Chinese nationals who he did not know. The P.U.P. today, has called for his resignation because he has breached the Constitution and violated the Immigration Laws and the criminal laws of Belize.
You and the Belizean public might not get that Francis. I’ve blogged on him and this issue before. What I can tell you is that his Greeencard has been definatley revoked. If his sons hadn’t been born in the US and are naturalized US citizens, as I understand they are US citizens, they will lose that privilege also. What the Belizean public has to do is vote him and his party out. Also, I wish that the young lady on Amara would talk exactly what she knows about Godwin Hulse and his dealings with Penner in this case. I heard she had a lot to say privately and that’s why she kept her job.
